Sir Alex Ferguson...the name will forever be part of Manchester United history, synonymous with the greatest period of success ever experienced by the club.
Sir Alex Ferguson took up the challenge of matching the great Sir Matt Busby and proceeded to do not only that, but to surpass him.
As Ferguson enters his last year as manager of Manchester United, Mufc News wants to pay tribute to the man who almost single-handedly made the club what it is today; quite simply the biggest club in the world.
We will take a look at Sir Alex's life, his managerial career, not only at United but at Aberdeen and St Mirren, his dealings in the transfer market over the years, his personal view on the pinnacle of his career - 26th May 1999, Nou Camp, Barcelona - plus a host of other articles, fact files and information.
