Boozing pre- and post-match can be a tricky business. Where to go? Is it expensive? Is it even open? Here's a quick run down on the best boozers in the area.

How to get there: Walk UP Sir Matt Busby Way towards the A56. Pub is over the road.

Atmosphere: Not bad, very, VERY busy. Occassional singing.

Prices: Not the cheapest but not the most expensive.

Opening Times: Open pre-match from 11-11.30pm. Post-match unknown.


How to get there: Walk UP Sir Matt Busby Way towards the A56. Turn right and walk past Macari's chippy. Pub is in front of you on corner.

Atmosphere: Superb, full of top Reds, very busy. Better post-match.

Prices: Bloody cheap! Bottle of Budweiser - 99p. That should tell you all you need to know.

Opening Times: Open pre-match from 11-11.30pm all day including post-match.


How to get there: Walk DOWN Sir Matt Busby Way towards Trafford Wharf Road. Turn right and cross over 5 yards down. Pub is in front of you!

Atmosphere: Not bad, very, VERY busy. Good singing - Boylie's usual haunt.

Prices: Expensive. Bring a wedge!

Opening Times: Open pre-match from 11am. Post-match until 6pm. Re-opens later (8pm?)

Additional Info: Serves good food. £1 entry unless IMUSA or SU member. IMUSA meeting room for members upstairs in Norseman Suite.
